About the Course
The proposed training program focuses on essential tools and professional skills across four core areas:

Data Analysis & Visualization: Hands-on training in MS Excel (advanced formulas, data cleaning, pivot tables, and dashboard creation) and Power BI (data modeling, interactive reporting, and visual analytics).

Database Management: Fundamentals of MS SQL for querying databases, data filtering, joining tables, and managing data structures.

Professional Documentation: Utilizing MS Word for structured reporting, project documentation, and executive summaries.

Corporate Communication: Essential email writing skills, covering corporate etiquette, writing impactful project updates, and professional correspondence.

The following evaluation criteria will be applied to assess student performance in the Certificate Course in Fundamentals of Analytics: Excel, SQL & Power BI. The total marks allotted are 100, distributed across three key components:
A) Attendance – 30 Marks

Note: Students must maintain a minimum attendance of above 50% to be eligible for certification.
B) Practical Assignments – 40 Marks
Assignment 1: MS Excel – 15 Marks
Practical assessment covering spreadsheet operations, formulas/functions, data cleaning,
sorting/filtering, data analysis and basic reporting.
Assignment 2: SQL – 10 Marks
Practical assessment covering database concepts, SQL queries, data retrieval, filtering,
sorting, aggregation and basic data analysis.
Assignment 3: Power BI – 15 Marks
Practical assessment covering data import, data transformation, visualizations, dashboards
and basic report creation.
Minimum qualifying marks: A minimum score of 16 marks out of 40 is required to qualify for this section.
C) Final Practical Assessment – 30 Marks
The final practical assessment will evaluate the learner's ability to apply Excel, SQL and Power BI skills to a basic data analytics task, including data preparation, analysis and presentation of insights.
Minimum qualifying marks: A minimum score of 13 marks out of 30 is required to qualify for this section.
Total: 100 Marks
Minimum Passing Marks: 35 marks overall.
Certification Eligibility
Candidates will be eligible to receive the course certificate only upon:
- Meeting the minimum attendance requirement;
- Qualifying in the Practical Assignments; and
- Qualifying in the Final Practical Assessment.

Note: The assessment scheme may be subject to modification as per the academic requirements of the course.
10th Pass with Basic Computer Literacy and Basic knowledge of MS Office.
Remark: This course is open of all candidates having basic knowledge of MS Office. No prior experience in data analytics is required.

Eligibility: Open to all, including students of University of Delhi (DU). Applicants must have passed Class 10th from any recognised Board.
